This weeks “Bicycle of the Week” is the Aston Martin Bicycle One-77. Aston Martin, renowned for its supercars, has embarked on a novel venture, entering the realm of cycling. Partnering with Factor Bike, they aim to craft the most advanced bicycle globally. Interesting to note, they drew inspiration from the Factor001 and christening it the Aston Martin bicycle One-77, reminiscent of their exclusive supercar.
This Aston Martin Bicycle purportedly integrates a sophisticated data logging system. Amazingly, this system monitors over 100 diverse statistical metrics. These include, power, rate of climb, and speed, a feature previously embraced by Factor. Furthermore, it will provide a comprehensive range of biometric data such as ECG, core body temperature, and respiration rate.
Technically speaking, this two-wheeler boasts full carbon 8-spoke wheels, leather-wrapped handlebars, disc brakes, and a Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 groupset. However, its price tag is akin to something from science fiction.
THE ASTON MARTIN BICYCLE: ADVANCED FEATURES
For this automotive themed version, Factor has added Shimano Dura-Ace shift levers. Additionally, all brake lines for the hydraulic system are housed within the frame and fork. As well as, the connectors for the brake calipers are shrouded within the brake mounts, making the bike as sleek as possible. Ultra-cool LED lights are imbedded into the seat tube and handlebars, controlled by buttons in the bike’s brake levers.
In fact, the price is a staggering £25,000 or $31,717.72. The Aston Martin Bicycle One-77 is a limited edition, with only 77 units slated for production. Specifically, scheduled to commence in July.
